The Covid 19 smell loss epidemic: what next for aromatherapists/aromatherapy industry?
Chrissi Kelly is the founder of the charity AbScent (registered in England and Wales, 1183468). She lost her sense of smell in 2012, and finding no resources to help her, started looking for answers herself. She started a Facebook group in 2015, and in 2019 the charity was born.
Since the pandemic, the AbScent community has grown to over more than 75,000 members.
Chrissi has participated in a number of research projects, is a Research Associate at the University of Reading and a Research Fellow at the University of London.
She has co-authored over 15 scientific papers and appears frequently in the media, representing patients with smell loss.
