Coping during covid: Using AromaStick inhalers in online therapy sessions with parents of critically ill children

Nick Singer is the owner of AromaStick AG, a company which seeks to reinvent aspects of aromatherapy and provide the public as well as the health care segment with a non-invasive, clinically backed product in the form of an inhalation device. He quickly became interested in the scientific aspects of essential oils and their use in therapy and has been heavily involved with the research side of the AromaStick project. This interest has led him to work closely with researchers and therapists who have been investigating intranasal scent delivery, its applications, and its effects on various biomarkers. 
In 2018 Nick was asked to present his findings at Botanica2018. Since the start of Covid-19, he has been working closely with Priya Ganatra, and the charity ‘Spread a Smile’ who have been using the AromaStick inhalers in their therapy sessions with parents of critically ill children. Together with Priya, he will be presenting the results from these sessions, how they have adapted to the Covid-era, and the future directions such sessions could take.
